WHO’S BEHIND THIS
My name is V. Salazar and I run Smart Living Hub.
I don’t build the furniture, write the software or teach the courses I write about. What I do is research the things people spend money on to make daily life work better — and report back on which ones are worth it and which ones aren’t.
That’s a limitation and an advantage at the same time.
The limitation: I won’t teach you a craft. If you’ve never cut a mortise or written a line of code, a review won’t fix that, and I won’t pretend otherwise. What I’ll do is point you at the people who teach it well.
The advantage: I have no product of my own to defend. No course to protect, no method to justify. That means I have no reason to tell you something is good when it isn’t. When a guide is padded, I say so. When the free version is honestly good enough, I say that too — even when saying it costs me money.
WHAT SMART LIVING HUB COVERS
Three areas, built one at a time.
Home & DIY is live. Woodworking plans, small workshop setups, and honest assessments of the guides and tools worth paying for.
Digital Tools is being built. Software, apps and AI tools that actually save time rather than adding another thing to manage.
Learning & Skills is being built. Languages, study methods and courses — what genuinely teaches, and what just sells a promise.
They’re different subjects with the same question underneath: is this worth your money and your hours?
HOW THIS SITE MAKES MONEY
Through affiliate commissions. When I recommend something and you buy it through my link, the seller pays me a percentage. It costs you nothing extra.
I’d rather say that upfront than have you find out later. It’s also exactly why every recommendation here comes with the drawbacks attached. Someone who buys knowing the faults keeps the product. Someone who buys on hype asks for a refund three weeks later, and then neither of us gained anything.
WHAT I WON’T DO
I won’t invent ratings or reviews. If you see “4.8 out of 5, based on 1,200 verified customers” on a site like this one, ask where those 1,200 people came from. I don’t publish numbers I can’t stand behind. I won’t claim experience I don’t have. No stories about the workbench I built, because I haven’t built one.
I won’t use fake urgency. No countdown timers, no prices ending tonight, no manufactured deadlines.
I won’t recommend something I wouldn’t tell a friend to buy.
